VUE.JS & Last.FM JSON API to Display Currently Playing Track

I enjoy sharing music recommendations, so it felt natural to incorporate a feature on my website that highlights the artists I’m currently listening to. This addition offers visitors a glimpse into my personal music taste and the bands I regularly enjoy.
This version is an alternative to the pop-up displayed on the main page.
After gaining some experience with Vue.js, I chose to rebuild the widget, originally written in vanilla JavaScript, as an introductory project using the framework.
The widget utilizes my scrobbled data from Last.FM'sRecent Tracks API to display real-time listening activity.
Unlike the main pop-up, this version also indicates when no music is currently playing and shows the most recent track I listened to.
I’ve also made the project available on CodePen, allowing others to explore the code and potentially integrate a similar feature into their own websites.
I live with my partner in Frome, Somerset. Dad of two young children who keep me on my toes. I also have a German Pointer called Mia (Moomin).
I love music. During the COVID lockdowns I taught myself how to play it and also how to produce, mix and master tracks in Logic. I play Guitar, Bass, Drums, Piano and Melodica. I love lots of different genres but my favourites are Ska, Punk, Reggae, Dub and Drum n Bass & Jungle. If I'm on my computer you will see what track I am listening to at this moment (I created this with vue.js using last.fm's JSON data)
An avid gamer, if I am not spending my evenings learning something new I will be engrossed in a computer game. Favourite games include Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect and lots of indie games. I started learning to make games in Unity this year and have taught myself a bit of C# programming through this. As well as pixel art and animation.
